A Message from the President:

We have so many exciting initiatives that are on-going that we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our 2019 achievements:

To start the year, we introduced our new brands: Prairie Trust and Waukesha State Bank Wealth Management. Prairie Trust focuses on personal trust, estate settlement, and special needs trust. Waukesha State Bank Wealth Management includes private banking, investment management, and retirement plan services.

We dedicated more resources to managing our trust-owned real-estate. Jean Durham and Matthew Woyak now focus much of their efforts seeing to this part of our business. This has been key as our estate settlement business tripled last year, and most estates contained real property.

Ron Jahnke joined us in April, and we introduced Private Banking as an additional service. Ron would be pleased to work with any of your clients on their private banking needs. Contact Ron at rjahnke@waukeshabank.com or (262) 522-7405.

We held our second annual client event in June at the newly remodeled Historic Courthouse and Museum in downtown Waukesha. Many of our clients and friends braved the stormy weather to join us in celebration. The music was lively and the food delicious!

We continued our publication efforts and shared our knowledge within the Milwaukee Business Journal. Check out the links below to our archived library of articles.

In fall, we hired two additional assistants within our Personal Trust Team – Natalie Shane and Lori Hert. Natalie joins us from the retail bank and Lori joins us from an estate planning focused law firm in Illinois. We welcome their enthusiasm for learning the trust business and serving our clients well.

Throughout the year, we’ve worked on restructuring our retirement plan services business model. We will soon begin transitioning from a record-keeping based model to an advisory based model. We are very excited about this change as it will allow us to partner with world-class record-keepers who have advanced technology specific to the retirement plan space while allowing us to focus on providing plan expertise, compliance, education, and frontline service to our clients.

We appreciate the business you introduce us to and enjoy working with you and your clients. If you know of someone who would like to learn more about our services, please contact our Director of Fiduciary Sales, Terry Doyle, at (262) 953-2435 or tdoyle@waukeshabank.com.

Very truly yours,

Angie Symatis
